Training for Field Officers for Initial Socio-Economic Registration for 2022 BPS-Statistics Indonesi

September 27, 2022 | BPS Activities

On September 27, 2022, the BPS of North Barito Regency conducted training for field officers for the initial data collection of the Socio-Economic Registration (Regsosek) at the Armani Muara Teweh Hotel. The training will be held for 2 days for each wave. This training is very important considering the magnitude of the impact of the results of this activity on people's lives. What is the importance of Regsosek?

Development in 2020 - 2021 is faced with formidable challenges with the Covid-19 pandemic. The economy contracted, open unemployment and poverty rates also increased. This impact may still continue until 2022. Although unemployment and poverty in 2022 will decrease compared to 2021, they will still increase compared to conditions before the Covid 19 pandemic.

There are six prerequisites for social protection system reform. The main prerequisite is the transformation of data towards Regsosek for the entire population. Data transformation to Regsosek is an effort to change the provision of sectoral socio-economic data into integrated and accurate data. Changes in the provision of socio-economic data include: a) coverage of the entire population of Indonesia; b) the same standards and methodologies; c) regular updates; d) easily accessible; and e) shared.

The initial Regsosek data collection will produce integrated data not only for social protection programs but also for all programs needed by the community for more targeted government policies. In addition, it is also used for development planning and evaluation purposes. Regsosek data will bridge the coordination and sharing of data across institutions and regions to ensure consistent use of data.
