116th Commemoration Ceremony of National Awakening Day at BPS North Barito Regency

This morning, Monday, May 20, 2024, all employees of the  Barito Utara Regency BPS held a National Awakening Day ceremony. The Head of the Barito Utara Regency BPS, Ali Akbar Sanjaya Ilham Purnomo, became the instructor for this year's National Awakening Day commemoration ceremony.

"Today, we are in the second phase of awakening, continuing the spirit of the first awakening that was established by the nation's founders. Unlike the struggle that was pioneered more than a century ago, now we face various new challenges and opportunities. Technological progress is a marker of a new era." A piece of speech from the Indonesian Minister of Communication and Information delivered by Ali provides an overview of the awakening that the Indonesian nation must carry out in the next 20 years.

Indonesia's role in the increasingly rapid technological progress is no longer just participating, but must become an important player in technological progress. The demographic bonus that Indonesia will still enjoy in the next 20 years must be ready to develop innovations that can push Indonesia to the forefront of world civilization.
