Abstract

The export value of Kalimantan Tengah in August 2021 reached US$249.76 million, an increase of 12.72 percent compared to exports in July 2021 and an increase of 182.41 percent compared to August 2020.
  • Coal, palm oil and zirconium ore are Kalimantan Tengah's main export commodities during August 2021.
  • China, Japan and India will be the main export destination countries for Kalimantan Tengah during August 2021.
  • Cumulatively, Kalimantan Tengah's export value increased by 54.12 percent, from US$1,223.90 million (January–August 2020) to US$1,886.27 million (January–August 2021).
  • The import value of Kalimantan Tengah during August 2021 reached US$ 2.69 million, up 41.58 percent compared to July 2021 and up 0.37 percent compared to August 2020.
  • Cumulatively, the import value increased by 62.32 percent from US$21.26 million (January – August 2020) to US$34.51 million (January – August 2021).
  • Kalimantan Tengah's foreign trade balance experienced a surplus of US$247.07 million in August 2021 and US$1,851.76 million in the period January-August 2021.
