Abstract

The economy of Kalimantan Tengah based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on current prices in the third quarter of 2021 reached IDR 42.2 trillion and based on constant prices in 2010 it reached IDR 25.3 trillion.

The economy of Kalimantan Tengah in the third quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter contracted by 0.21 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the Construction Business Field experienced the highest growth of 13.51 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB) component experienced the highest growth of 5.53 percent.

The economy of Kalimantan Tengah in the third quarter of 2021 compared to the third quarter of 2020 grew by 3.57 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the Information and Communication Business Field experienced the highest growth of 22.56 percent. In terms of expenditure, the Export Component of Goods and Services experienced the highest growth of 12.65 percent.

The cumulative economy of Kalimantan Tengah until the third quarter of 2021 compared to the cumulative until the third quarter of 2020 grew by 1.92 percent (c-to-c). In terms of production, the largest growth occurred in the Information and Communication Business Field of 27.01 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Export Component of Goods and Services at 5.60 percent.

Growth (y-on-y) in the third quarter of 2021 occurred in all provinces in the Kalimantan region, the highest was in Kalimantan Utara with a growth (y-on-y) of 5.24 percent and a contribution of 7.87 percent.
