●      In May 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Central Kalimantan Province will be 2.72 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.96. The highest inflation occurred in Sampit at 3.25 percent with a CPI of 106.47 and the lowest occurred in Kapuas Regency at 2.10 percent with a CPI of 107.77.

●      Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in all expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group rose 5.05 percent; clothing and footwear group 0.19 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group 0.46 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group 0.76 percent; health group 0.91 percent; transportation group 1.51 percent; information, communication and financial services group 0.09 percent; recreation, sports and culture group 2.10 percent; education group 2.40 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group 2.17 percent; and the personal care and other services group 2.78 percent.

●      The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Central Kalimantan Province in May 2024 are 0.22 percent and 1.34 percent respectively.
