Household Updating For The National Labor Force Survey 2020

This August, BPS conducted the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas). This survey aims to obtain estimates of the number of working population, the number of unemployed, other employment indicators, as well as its representative development at the national, provincial and district / city levels. In addition, the August 2020 Sakernas also has a special purpose to gather information related to the impact of Covid-19 on employment in Indonesia.

The implementation of Sakernas activities includes updating households and enumerating household samples. At present, there are ongoing household updating activities that began on 1 August 2020 yesterday. Household census will take place after the sampling process until 31 August 2020.

Currently, officers are still enthusiastic about collecting data in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. In this data collection, officers were equipped with gloves, masks, handsanitizers and faceshields as health protocol equipment.
