National Labor Force Survey February 2021

Muara Teweh - BPS carried out the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) in February 2021. Sakernas is a routine activity carried out by BPS every year on a semester basis, namely Semester I in February and Semester II in August.

The purpose of collecting data on Sakernas for February 2021 is to provide basic data on sustainable manpower. In particular, the February 2021 Sakernas aims to obtain estimates of data on the total working population, the number of unemployed, other employment indicators, as well as representative developments at the national and provincial levels. The February 2021 Sakernas also has a specific purpose to gather information related to the impact of Covid-19 on employment in Indonesia.

The Sakernas field activity consists of two stages, namely the household updating stage (enumerators visit one by one the households in a census block area to check the existence of the household) and the enumeration stage (the enumerator conducts interviews with a selected sample of households). The implementation of this field activity is carried out by implementing health protocols. The schedule for the implementation of field activities is household updating to be carried out on 27 January - 7 February 2021 and household enumeration on 8 - 28 February 2021. After field activities, the next stage is the data processing stage at BPS North Barito Regency. The data processing stage consists of receiving, batching, editing & coding, data entry, validation, and data completeness checking and data evaluation.
