Focus Group Discussion Strengthening the Role of One Indonesian Data Through Statistical Development

On Monday, February 12 2024 at the Bappedalitbang Hall. The North Barito Regency Government carried out a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) "Strengthening One Indonesian Data (SDI) Through Development of Sectoral Statistics for Barito Utara Regency." The implementation of this activity is none other than the initiation of SDI by collaborating with all members of the Barito Utara Regency SDI forum, including: Bappedalitbang as SDI Secretariat, OPD as data producer, Diskominfosandi as Data Guardian, and BPS as Data Trustee.

The activity was opened by Pj. The Regent of North Barito was represented by Assistant III Regional Secretary, Yasser Arafat. In his speech, he said that the need for accurate and quality data for development planning is very necessary for more measurable planning, monitoring and evaluation of regional development. Then, the activity continued with a presentation on SDI by Akhmad Rizalie from Bappedalitbang. He explained that a Regent's Regulation regarding SDI had been issued, therefore the SDI Forum in North Barito Regency had to collaborate with each other.

Since 2022, North Barito Regency has developed the One Data Portal. Head of Diskominfosandi, M. Ikhsan said that the benefits of the One Data Portal are very broad, therefore it requires the involvement of OPD as data producers to contribute sectoral statistical data that can be disseminated widely through the portal.

The activity continued with Sectoral Statistics Development by the Head of Barito Utara Regency BPS, Ahmad Nasrullah. He conveyed the importance of quality sectoral statistics, therefore collaboration between members of the SDI Forum is very necessary to support accurate and quality SDI for North Barito Regency, the aim of which is none other than the development of North Barito that is right on target.

In closing, valid, accurate and quality sectoral data is the main key to successful development. All members of the North Barito Regency SDI forum must collaborate and support each other in implementing SDI within Barito Utara Regency.
