On Tuesday, March 19 2024 at the Bappedalitbang Hall. The North Barito Regency Government carried out Public Consultation activities on the Preliminary Draft Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) for North Barito Regency for 2025. The Head of the North Barito Regency Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Ahmad Nasrullah was one of the speaker in this activity.
This event was opened by the Acting Regent of North Barito, Muhlis and attended by all invited Regional Government Organizations, Non-Profit Institutions and Business Entities. The event takes place from 08.00 WIB until closing at 11.30 WIB. Muhlis opened by discussing North Barito Regency's annual macro achievement targets, most of which have been achieved and encouraged cooperation to be carried out to pursue several indicators which targets were deemed not to have been achieved.
The opening material presentation was carried out by representatives of the Financial and Asset Management Agency regarding the condition of the North Barito Regency budget from year to year, starting from 2021 to 2021. 2023 and budget estimates for 2024 and 2025 that have not yet been published.
Next, a description of the regional income of North Barito Regency is presented by representatives of the Regional Revenue Management Agency of North Barito Regency. It is estimated that the positive trend of increasing income in North Barito Regency after the Covid-19 pandemic will still occur this year and 2025. Apart from that, it was also conveyed regarding regional income through levies which is increasing from year to year which shows the awareness of business actors and North Barito residents in general to pay taxes and levies is getting higher.
Head of North Barito Regency BPS, Ahmad Nasrullah gave a final presentation which discussed in more depth the respective macro indicator targets for North Barito Regency. Indicators such as regional economic growth, poverty level, Gini ratio, and Human Development Index are the main focus. Regarding economic growth, an important detail was conveyed, namely the decline in regional income from coal mining activities which must be a concern. Although there was a decline in mining, increases occurred in other sectors such as agriculture, processing industry and transportation. The problem of poverty is still a difficult problem to solve, but conditions have improved in recent years. The focus on alleviating extreme poverty is the main target that must be carried out by the North Barito Regency Government so that socio-economic conditions improve.
