Macro Indicators Briefing at the Preliminary Drafting of the North Barito Regency RKPD

On Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Bapperida Hall, the Government of Barito Utara Regency held a Public Consultation on the Initial Draft of the 2025 Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) for Barito Utara. The Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Barito Utara Regency, Ali Akbar Sanjaya, was one of the speakers at the event.

The event was opened by the Acting Regent of Barito Utara, Muhlis. Muhlis presented the theme or development agenda for Barito Utara in 2026 and expressed hopes that this RKPD could accommodate program recommendations from various parties, allowing them to be integrated to achieve harmony between regions, sectors, and development actors.

The initial presentation addressed an overview of the regional conditions and macro indicator achievements of Barito Utara. It also discussed strategic issues for 2026, including the suboptimal infrastructure services in the region and the challenges in economic growth and equitable distribution, along with Barito Utara's economic potential, such as mining, plantations, and forest products.

The next topic covered the budget conditions of Barito Utara in 2024 and projections for 2025 and 2026.

The Head of BPS Barito Utara, Ali Akbar Sanjaya, gave the final presentation, delving deeper into each macro indicator target for Barito Utara. These indicators include regional economic growth, poverty rates, the Human Development Index, employment, agriculture, the 2023 ST results, and the Price Development Index, which were the main focal points.

The data generated by BPS Barito Utara is expected to contribute as a foundation for determining future government policies for Barito Utara in the coming years.
