Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchangeability (terms of trade) of agricultural products for goods and services consumed and for production costs.
The Combined NTP of Kalimantan Tengah in September 2023 decreased by 0.20 percent compared to August 2023, namely from 115.64 to 115.41. This decline was caused by the decline in exchange rates in several subsectors, namely livestock (2.40 percent), fisheries (0.93 percent) and smallholder plantation crops (0.24 percent). Meanwhile, food and horticultural crops experienced an increase in exchange rates, respectively by 0.85 percent and 1.14 percent.
In September 2023, there will be an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Kalimantan Tengah by 0.02 percent, which is mainly caused by an increase in the index for the Transportation group (0.53 percent), the Food and Beverage/Restaurant Provision group (0.37 percent), and Health group (0.20 percent). Similar to the NTP, the Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate of Kalimantantan Tengah (NTUP) in September 2023 also decreased by 0.34 percent, from 116.41 (August 2023) to 116.02 (September 2023).

October 2022: Combined NTP of Kalimantan Tengah during October 2022 was 115.56 or decreased by 0.36 percent compared to September 2022
